Why did you join TEDxUAlberta? I view this as an opportunity to give back to my community by raising awareness on issues that are not only important but also critical to talk about in today’s world. I have always been inspired by how these talks impact everyone’s lives around us in society. It is an amazing opportunity for me to work with like-minded and talented people, have the opportunity to interact with a diverse array of speakers who bring in vast pools of knowledge and experience, learn and grow from all of them and potentially be a part of the change that we may be able to incur upon the society and in the community through the talks. I am looking forward to an amazing year with the most amazing team of people!
A fun fact: I have had the chance to experience the world’s fastest rollercoaster, Formula Rossa, which goes from 0 to 240 km/hr in just under 5 seconds!

Why did you join TEDxUAlberta? Ted is a platform that inspires, they share ideas and make connections. I joined to be part of this empowering community and surround myself with rising leaders in efforts to expand my experience and branch out to something new.
A fun fact: I have a small white dog named after a korean polar bear character, Poby! Search it up!

Why did you join TEDxUAlberta? I joined TEDxUAlberta to bring together our community through the power of knowledge and innovation.
Fun fact: I can eat cheese pizza for the rest of my life.
Dhruba Nil Ghosh, Co-VP Speaker Relations
Year and Program: 4th year student pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Why did you join TEDxUAlberta? Ever since I was young, I was always mesmerized by people controlling the emotions of an audience with their wit and speech. However, the times where I was left speechless was the moment when the entire audience felt connected via the speaker’s emotions. TEDx is a place that cultivates this beautiful feeling and can truly make a change through speech. Hence, I joined TEDx to be as close to this magic as possible!
Fun fact: I am a very passionate diecast collector, with a special inclination towards premium Hot Wheels! By far the most valuable model in my collection is an initial d themed AE86 Trueno sprinter. Although, there are plenty of other models that can give it a run for its money!

Why did you join TEDxUAlberta? I joined TEDxUAlberta because I believe that starting a conversation is the first step to creating change. TEDxUAlberta provides a platform for strong-minded individuals to raise issues and concerns in our world, in turn catalyzing open-mindedness and innovation. I have always been enthralled by the power that a speaker holds when starting a conversation about an issue that they are passionate about and the ways they are able to captivate the audience. I joined TEDxUAlberta to be surrounded by exceptional leaders and be a part of an inspiring community.
Fun fact: If I could only read one genre for the rest of my life it would be historical romance

Why did you join TEDxUAlberta? I joined TEDxUAlberta to be part of empowering individuals and communities by sharing ideas, and contributing to the process of positive change. I’m looking forward to hearing diverse stories from exceptional leaders and spreading inspirational ideas around with my team!

Why did you join TEDxUAlberta? I have always wanted a place where I can bring together all the people with their unique experiences. I hope to positively impact the community around us by inspiring and communicating with others. TEDxUAlberta is the place where I am looking for. TEDxUAlberta is a platform and a social movement that brings individuals with different backgrounds together and makes the community a better place.

Why did you join TEDxUAlberta? I am encouraged and influenced by people who have achieved success or have countered a unique journey in their life. Listening to their path and way of taking actions, makes me motivated to a great extent. TEDxUAlberta, not only provides me the opportunity to learn and gain knowledge, but also helps to work in an environment that I actually enjoy and get encouraged to involve and take part in.
Fun fact: I am an introvert having more than 20 friends

Why did you join TEDxUAlberta? The purpose behind the TedTalk community had always inspired me growing up to educate myself on other individuals' messages and ideas. Knowing that I have the chance to be a part of an organization that brings individuals together from all over the world to share ideas and initiate conversations, led me to want to be a part of this foundation.
Fun fact: I was a figure skater for 5 years!
